Infiniti prepares its landing in Europe

There are still a few months to see driving on European roads vehicles of the luxury division of Nissan, Inifiniti, since it will not be available until the second half of 2008.

A little earlier, at the Salon de l'Automobile in Geneva, we can contemplate the full range to reach the old continent. The first step will consist of the Inifiniti G35, with 300 hp and rival the more expensive versions of the BMW 3 Series, Audi A4, Mercedes C-Class and Lexus IS.

A little over will be G-Coupe with mechanics 3.7 liters and 330 hp. You'll have to see the faces with the A5 Audi, BMW 3 Series Coupe and Mercedes CLK. The range of SUVs will begin with the EX, also equipped with a 300-hp V6 engine and is in focus at BMW X3 and to some extent, mazda cx7 and future GLK Mercedes and Audi Q5.

Infiniti will use a new hybrid system in FX

One of the criticisms often receive is that hybrids are very good urban automobiles, but at the time they go out to the road must rely on the help of a conventional engine, and therefore to pollute. Well, Nissan is developing a new hybrid technology that will be launched in the Infiniti FX, thanks to which the electric motor not only serve to move through the streets, but also assist the gasoline engine at speeds extra.

We do not know whether the system will be similar to that employed by the Porsche Cayenne hybrid, although that has not been tested, promises to reach a maximum of 120 km / h with only the electric motor. The new offer Nissan should reach the market sometime in the next decade, probably with the next generation of Infiniti FX.

AutoWeek has several photos taken by an amateur in the new Infiniti FX55, which we see has been updated to incorporate the language of design Nissan. The premium SUV division of Japanese manufacturer now boasts some really ensanchados wheel arches and the same trapezoidal grille of Infiniti G37, albeit with a curious chin retracted. Deserve special mention its futuristic optical front, stretched backwards to the point that seem to side. The resulting package is primarily original, although it might polarize (let) the views of consumers; hopefully descarnadas much praise as criticism.

Theoretically introduce Infiniti FX55 in Geneva as part of its advance in Europe. So perhaps we can check whether the name 55 refers to a new 5.5 V8 engine, as speculated.

Infiniti will support financially to its dealers in Europe

It is very easy to forget that the Japanese luxury brands were established in 80 specifically for the U.S. market. However, like its rivals patriotic, Infiniti has grown beyond the borders, establishing successfully in several Asian countries. Now, is preparing to make the leap to Europe.

The premium brand Nissan expects to have 78 dealers across the continent before the end of 2010, selling a catalog initial launch will include models Infiniti EX (pictured), Infiniti FX, and Infiniti G. It also knows that he is planning to employ the same strategy he used for years in americas, developing a unique model for the Union which could be a good match for the Audi A3. Nissan, however, realizes that require a good time to get its subsidiary made a hole in the apretadisimo European market, and accordingly will support financially its distribution network in the short term, while manages to achieve profitability.

It will be very interesting to see the evolution of the mark, especially given that Lexus still sweats to make themselves known, and Cadillac is still waking up between indifference and condescendancia

The official presentation of the new Infiniti FX is just weeks, but the prototypes of the luxury brand of Japanese are still doing the last tests, and the acolytes of Brenda Priddy managed to apprehend one of them in Los Angeles. Although its optical groups are covered with tape, this model tests golden leaves very little to the imagination. The proportions of the vehicle remained more or less the same as ever, but the grill gives the impression of being much more open and the front overhang, considerably more daring. Similarly, headlamps that flank have been moved so that extend under the bonnet and in the direction of the A pillar, giving it a modern look and very bold.

In the back repeats the design of the lights, and integrated spoiler now has the same color of the body (in the current Infiniti FX is black plastic). Brenda also reported that the new Infiniti FX is slightly longer than the model it replaces, although not by much.

Among the versions available is expected to Infiniti FX37 with at least 300 horses, just below a ceiling range of Arras, which should reach the 347-400 hp engine courtesy of a 5.0 or 5.8, 8 cylinders in V

We can tell much more within three weeks, from Geneva.

Infiniti could have its own version of the GT-R

Already in April 2006 commented the disappointment of Infiniti dealers at the decision to sell the new GT-R as a unique model Nissan. But sellers of the company, now immersed in its expansion Eurasian, could see their prayers answered if the latest news is true.

New Infiniti GT-R
The information comes from an interview conducted by the British magazine Car of the Nissan designer Shiro Nakamura, who literally said that "an Infiniti version is a possibility." Nakamura also noted that it had not yet conducted the study in question, although it is already thinking about it. Sounds promising, though far from something palpable. In any case, given the plans for expansion into new markets, Infiniti could benefit immensely from a vehicle type "halo", a sports Postino above the Infiniti G37 help him win the hearts of consumers. The idea, of course, sounds attractive. Another thing is that ends materialized.

Nissan GT-R considered a four-door for Infiniti

">MotorTrend says good ink know that Nissan wants to manufacture a GT-R with four doors. Yes, yes, you read well. The model in question would be highlighted by Infiniti and does not seem much in the original, thus offering a product interesting, yet distinct for all these dealers to voices calling for a version of its own. It must be said that although possible, should not be made by giving the veracity of the rumor, since the FM platform should be stretched to accommodate two new doors and add some rear seats as being commanded. However, the new model could easily use the same points for the suspension and engine, the system of integrated traction and change the double-clutch.

This GT-R would lose the luxury of carbon fiber panels seen in the coupe, using instead a body of steel. If so the impact on benefits would be even greater, but with 480 horses remain strong enough to fight with the most flowery of Germany, and that without talking about the Lexus IS-F.

Pre-Geneva Motor Show: Infiniti EX37 confirmed for Europe

The luxury brand of Nissan is now ready to land at dealerships in Europe with a catalog that includes its desirable Infiniti G37 Coupe and sedan configurations, as well as the crossover Infiniti FX and, as we learned today, Infiniti EX37, portrayed in the photographs of top . As its name indicates, the Infiniti EX37 will incorporate a more powerful engine that Infiniti EX35 Americas, through which made available to its driver "over 310 hp" (we assume that "more" is awaiting approval). In addition, we can ensure that the super VQ 3.7 V6 will be linked to a seven-speed automatic change, instead of the box five employee relations in the United States. Without doubt, very good news for all those consumers who are already in anticipation.

New Infiniti EX37
For the time being unaware their performance on the asphalt, but bearing in mind that the E shares chassis with the Infiniti G37 and Nissan 350Z, it seems that before we could find one of the most dynamic and fast crossovers around the world.

Pre-Geneva Motor Show: Infiniti G37

Yesterday evening we Alberto commented that the European market for the Infiniti FX releases a more powerful engine of what we had initially thought. Instead of being a 3.5 liter, in Europe remain a 3.7i, thus changing the name.

New Infiniti G37
Back in the day in the news since Infiniti has revealed more details about the Infiniti G37, a car that will be available in configuration of two or four doors. The 3.7 liter engine develops an output of 310 hp and is associated with a shift six-speed manual or an automatic seven.

We emphasize the presence of the direction of the four wheels (4WAS), available in the optional Sport package sports. Also versions have been announced with full traction, which will name the Infiniti G37x, and have the traction system attesa E-TS (Advance Total Traction Engineering System for Electronic Torque Split).

Geneva Motor Show: Infiniti FX50

One of the most eagerly awaited news of the Renault-Nissan alliance in the Hall Geneva Motor has been the new Infiniti FX, a luxury todocamino already in its first generation had many followers in Europe despite not traded on a formal .

New Infiniti FX50
The new delivery, the Infiniti FX may be purchased with three variants mechanical being released the latest in this generation with 5 liters, 390 HP and 500 Nm of maximum torque. Emphasizes the new gearbox seven-speed adaptive. Below is presumably located accommodate the recent 3.7 liter that mounted the G and E.

The design as usual in the mark is very personal, mixing elegance and sportsmanship. He has points in common with the Murano but socially is quite above, competing directly with the Mercedes ML, BMW X5 and the Audi Q7.

Carlos Ghosn discarded the idea of a GT-R sedan, but a successor to the Infiniti Q45 is likely

At the Geneva Motor Show Carlos Ghosn told reporters that the idea of a four-door based on the GT-R, is only a "speculation blog." Are we concerned? We do not know. Of course, is speculation, but no one has started a blog but in the magazine Motor Trend, which as a source quoting someone from within the company even took the liberty of commissioning renders some of the imaginary model.

New Infiniti GT-R
Anyway, every indication is that Infiniti which must find a successor to the discontinued nfiniti Q45, and one that will live up to German competitors, especially if the brand seeks to enter markets of Western Europe. A sedan of this type might be called nfiniti Q50, and assemble the new 5.0 L V8 engine of 390 horses just debut in Geneva also new nfiniti FX50. Hopefully, the next "Q" is more competitive than the model left the market a couple of years ago without anyone being given consideration, but do not expect a GT-R four-doors.
